This Jack Nicklaus, Golden Bear Design, is a fantastic course to host all levels of golfers. This is classic Jack Nicklaus design work. Alot of the holes are forgiving on the fairway edges and will kick the ball back into play vs. a sideways bounce into the trees and trouble. The course always looks inviting yet you will be challenged at all levels. A great mix of mature forested holes to wide open panorama views of the Okanagan Valley, to the traditional "Links Style", this course has it all.

Much wider than the famous Quail course, the Bear Golf Course offers its own unique test and has enough elevation changes to give you a good work out should you decide to walk the course.

After a gentle first 2 holes you will elevate to the 3rd tee and are rewarded for the steep climb with a stunning panorama Okanagan Valley view as well as a huge drop to the fairway below.

The Bear Course offers many opportunities to be aggressive and engage the risk vs. reward approach. A good example is the short 8th Par 4 which can be reached with a very accurate drive. Miss a bit and your in the trees figuring a way to just get out.

As you play into the middle of the back nine you enter the common "Links" area of the course shared with the Quail Course. The signature par 5, 13th offers a fantastic view of water on the left side of the hole with beautiful and historic El's Mountain in the background. Long hitters may have a chance to go for the green in 2 shots.

15,16 & 17 are difficult, unique and very challenging holes which can play much longer in the typical afternoon winds. Many a match is decided over this stretch of holes. The par 5, 18th offers a generous fairway so go for your longest drive. Occasionally this hole can be reached in 2.
